Courtney Barnett continues to impress. All who take the time to explore her, happily discover her natural way of singing. Her raspy voice draws you into the depth and simple beauty of a tune. Her song-writing is poetry in the everyday or even mundane, but on this cover, she places her unique imprint in the delivery of Cale’s lyrics and adds echoing guitars. She has clearly made the tune her own.
