It was a very strange day.
I was left to my own devices and it began perfectly with a hearty 16 mile bike ride all around the islands. Then the storm rolled in as I showered and planned to beach it. Thunder and lightening warmed my afternoon with my own beautiful patio viewing and a really great book.
I can’t even remember the last time there wasn’t something immediate and pressing in my life. Today was all about laid back joy. And a joy it was, until the sudden, urgent and immediate visit to a ” doc in the box ” care center for a dear one that was struggling with a serious temperature spike. Okay, never a dull moment, and a reminder that we should never get tooooooo comfortable because life is gonna throw you a crazy loop or two.
When I heard this song, I took a moment. It was the vocals that drew me in and then the lyrics, and I can’t get enough of it.

The new album from Of Monsters and Men, “Beneath The Skin” comes out on June 9th. This song, “I Of The Storm”, has lovely lyrics, a lovely voice, and is a really lovely song. There is so much to love, right?
