Savannah Stopover-The Must See Friday Shows @SavStopover #HappyStopover

Soo many bands…Soooo little time!  Thought I would help you with another guide to the Savannah Stopover Friday show must sees…Check out my recommendations.

Psych banjo? Yep, I am totally serious and somehow it works. It works brilliantly….Innovation and creativity worth checking out.

Tall Tall Trees-Freedays

Trouble in Mind Records is one of my favorite labels, but it is the bands instrumentation and the Beatlesque sound which has me intrigued. Check them out.

The Paperhead-Dama De Lavanda

Just a good solid R & B, swinging and swaying love song…

Lawrence-Do You Wanna Do Nothing With Me

Who can resist a 70’s artist’s joyous resurgence in popularity due to the timelessness of his tunes. There is something about his music that transports me to the past and the dancing romantics. Stop by and try not to sway to the music.

Lee Fields & The Expressions-Special Night

A happy shout-out to a band I have enjoyed this past year. Can’t help but go experience the joy one more time!

Hoops-Rules

A beautiful and talented singer songwriter on the scene. She has a folksy side, a serious indie rock vibe, and can easily slip into wowing electronics. Laetitia Tamko is Vagabon and seems to find inspiration in the culture shock of moving from Cameroon to NY. From Father and Daughter Records website, she explains…

“A lot of it is about finding a space for myself, whether it is physical, emotional, social” Tamko says. “It’s about finding that place where I feel most comfortable. And also finding that the confidence within myself can continue to grow. And finding what it takes for me to feel whole through making music.”

Vagabon-Fear and Force

I don’t know much of anything about DCTV from Joshua Tree, but I listened to a host of their tunes. Yep, I was smitten by the French lyrics and the perfect shoegaze psyche vibe. I can’t wait to see them live and learn more.

So I think I’ll end my Friday night with the feel good groove of Curtis Harding
