TGIF!
A change of place can provide a change of perspective.
I am on vacation, while everyone at home is tackling homework, long commutes, and complicated fall schedules. Early rising and full days have probably contributed to a lack of sleep and thus created cranky moods.
Well, happily, not here.
I am playing hooky at the beach all week and distracting myself from all of the crazy changes and happenings in my life. Everything at home is suddenly different, and I am determined to take some space to find the sunny side of all these changes. The beach provides my fountain of youth that I so desperately need right now. There is something so amazing and renewing about getting out in the sunshine, surfing in the waves, eating yummy seafood, listening to bands at beach hangouts, and catching up with good friends and making new ones.
Now, as the week comes to an end, I think I will play a song that makes me happy and reminds me of the joy of a much needed vacation and/or weekend of less stress, rest, and relaxation. I am not usually into rap, but this song, “Someway Bi”, is so fun and happy and unique that I just had to share it. I can’t stop listening. Maybe you will like the change in genre too.
Transport yourself to another place while you listen. Change your perspective. Settle in to the weekend.
