31 Days of Music
Welcome music friends! It is officially day 2 of this fun 31 day project. Let me tell you how this blog started, if you haven’t already clicked my “about” button. You see, I am a guest music blogger on 1146 miles. There, we feature new and interesting alt-indie music where we feel a personal connection. The songs are featured in stories of our lives. It is a great gig. You should also check it out. Sometimes listening to the many music submissions that are sent my way, I hear some cool music that I don’t really have a story or have that important personal connection. I hate that those artists get buried in my e-mails. There is amazing music happening all over, and I want to get it out there for you. That is how my 31 day project began.
I am featuring a new song from my music submissions every day for 31 days. I’m only on day 2 and my world has stopped and all I am doing is listening to music. I am thinking, “Am I certifiably crazy?” Well maybe……but here goes anyway!
Today I am sharing a very cool new track from Lo Fine, an indie/slow core/americana band featuring, Kevin O’Rourke. He is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Massachusetts. He’s been making music since the late 90’s, but has a new EP coming out in November and this song, “Lie in White”, is on it. I have listened to all of the songs on the album, Want Is A Great Need, and they are a nice compilation of thoughtful lyrics, soft warm vocals, acoustic guitar, and even some experimental sounds and instrumentation. In the song, “Lie in White “, listen for the innovative electronics around minute 2:30. Pretty cool, pretty chill!
Don’t take my word for it, listen for yourself. Tell me what you think in the comments. And, just maybe, if you like it, you can tell him so on his Facebook page. Thank you for listening! I hope you will come back again tomorrow.
