Mood Monday.
Darn, the holiday is over.
Summer is definitely in full swing. But today, I just can’t pinpoint my mood. So I thought I would find a new song to represent my clash of megamoods. This song is one funky tune, but the lyrics are all about heartache. So maybe, you just want a strong bass and a bit of funk to help lighten your mood or maybe you have a mess on your hands like the lyrics suggest.
For me, I am totally digging the vibe…
Somebody tell me how I’m supposed to feel
When I’m sitting here knowing this ain’t real
Thundercat is Stephen Bruner a multi-genre bass player, producer and singer from Los Angeles.

He has also worked with famed producer Flying Lotus and was in the band Suicidal Tendencies. Multi-talented, he can play metal, R&B, hip-hop, and jazz. For a long time, he was in the background of bands playing bass, but with Thundercat he is featured front and center. Check out his new album, The Beyond/Where The Giants Roam, or maybe just play this tune on repeat and enjoy the funk again and again.
