Here is your select song for this week., “Ch-Ching” by Chairlift.

I know, I know, I know, this song has been out for a while now, but I love a song when it bubbles up in my mind unexpectedly. “Ch-Ching” plays in my head on repeat at the oddest times. It is a fun, catchy, funky tune that begs and coaxes me to move to the beat.

Smitten by the song, I had the pleasure of looking up the video. Now, I am completely obsessed with trying to learn the movements to the lyrics, “27-99-23”. Oh well now, you have a hint as to how I spend my time! I double dog dare you to try and motion the numbers as quickly as she sings it.

For me, I find the video mesmerizing and visually powerful. It is a pleasant surprise to come across a video which connects with the tune so well. Check it out and dance with me!

Chairlift is Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly out of Brooklyn, NY. It has been three long years since their last music and with the release of a couple of new singles, I am excited that more is on the horizon. Their new album, “Moth”, is coming to our ears in January 2016! Possibilities of more synth-pop perfection!
