Mood Monday-Patrick Watson-Hearts

large-1

I hope you will take a quiet moment to listen to an amazing voice and indie sound which literally blows my mind. The song, “Hearts”, packs musical passion and sincere lyrical emotion in one really good song. This is a song that clearly puts an exclamation point on the month of June.

I am posting this song for Mood Monday, even though you will read it late (It took some thoughtful time to search for just the right one). It reflects my mood perfectly.

Crank it up.

“Hearts watch them falling
Watch them shatter together ‘Cause they can’t see where they’re going
They’re just following, under the weather
They follow each other Run, keep on runnin’ run faster
Than the breaker
You can hide,  or keep on hiding
‘Cause when they find you it’s gonna hurt out loud Under the weather, they hurt each other
Spinning together Scream, scream louder
So loud ’till you can’t hear each other
Over reasons, over the pleasure
Keep on screaming until you can’t remember Under the weather, they’ll keep on screaming
Under the weather Keep on screaming ’till the love gives up the dark
It’s a double homicide, but you know it was breaking at the start
And you talk with knives till you tear your hearts apart
Keep breaking and breaking and breaking
Just to get to the start And now, and now that it’s over
What will they leave behind for each other

Those crazy hearts they’ll never learn
They keep turning and turning just to find another one
Those crazy hearts they’ll never learn

They keep turning and turning just to find another one

Those crazy hearts they’ll never learn
But they tried and tried just to find themselves back to the start
Those crazy hearts they’ll never learn

They keep turning and turning just to find another one

Those crazy hearts they’ll never learn
You keep turning and turning just to  find another one

You keep turning and turning just to find another one

You keep turning and turning ’till you can’t find another one

What will they leave behind”

Patrick Watson is a Canadian singer/songwriter from Montreal. With a combination of electronic experimentation and classical songwriting his latest album, Love Songs For Robots, proves to be an album that is a must listen. Lovely, and yet, they are all songs that can’t be pigeon-holed as any particular style.

Uniquely Patrick Watson. I hope you will check it out.
