Shaky Knees 2016 -Sunday Must Sees

I am  not sure I can ever top the fun experience of Saturday’s music, friends, and fun at Shaky Knees, but I am going to wake up and try to do it all again. Are you with me?

Here is my Sunday plan of music listening.

The day should begin with Julien Baker…I have blogged her incredible music before and can’t wait to see her in the flesh, but honestly it is hard as heck to get there by 12:00pm.

Julien Baker-Something

At 12:45 we will rush off to see Ought. They are the band that reminds me of David Byrne and the Talking Heads, but they have a fresh unique flair that I am excited about seeing live! Yes, I have blogged them before but never seen them in person. Listen.

Ought-Beautiful Blue Sky

Adia Victoria and Atlas Genius are up next at the same time slot, and I find Adia Victoria interesting. I am all about the new and out of the box so if it is close by I think I will check it out.

Adia Victoria-Stuck In The South

….but the tried and true would probably be Atlas Genius.

Frightened Rabbit vs The Orwells ?

If you haven’t ever seen The Orwells in a live show, then you haven’t really lived. Their stage presence is unmatchable, uncomparable, and the total bomb for jumping fun, dancing, and excitement. Be prepared though, anything can happen. But Frightened Rabbit’s new single, Get Out, is awesome and I am really curious.

The most difficult choice of the weekend is at the 3:15 time slot. I am going to have to choose between Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Parquet Courts, and Diet Cig.

I honestly don’t know what I am going to do…I will probably be running to see all of them. I still feel regret I missed Diet Cig in Savannah, and then I met some fun friends from VA that said they saw the late night show in Atlanta on Friday night and it was off the chain!

What’s a girl to do?

Listen and decide what you would do.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra-Multi-Love

Parquet Courts-Berlin Got Blurry

Diet Cig-Harvard

Next is an easier choice. I love the throwback sound of ….

St Paul and The Broken Bones-Call Me

The rest of the evening is easier and will depend on my stamina to move quickly between venues.

Nothing-Vertigo Flowers

An all time favorite song of mine…..

The Head And The Heart-Lost In My Mind

Then, I am sure I will need a chill vibe. Here you go!

Explosions In The Sky-Losing The Light

Finishing the night out will be a great show from Florence  + The Machine. I am excited to see her in person, so many good tunes!

Florence+The Machine-Ship To Wreck

Day three is going to be incredible. Thank goodness for a bit of sleep and strong coffee!

Stay tuned to my blog y’all, I have some cool Merch that I want to give away FOR FREE!

Stay Tuned!
